Description

Edegem is known for its quiet neighbourhoods Elsdonck, Molenveld and Buizegem, home to many families. Young building in a child-friendly street at walking distance from the 'Roman well' park area, a great place for walking and jogging. What makes the location extra interesting is the excellent accessibility to Antwerp and arterial roads, specifically the E19 to Brussels.

Modern façade. Entrance hall, cloakroom, guest toilet. Indoor garage, separate laundry room. Gigantic living room with lots of light thanks to XL windows overlooking the garden with refreshing plunge pool. Here the boundary between inside and outside blurs - an unmatchable wow-factor.

Even in winter, you can fully enjoy the lush garden from the patio with skylight or outdoor lounge with fireplace. Garden house with technical installation and petanque court.

Open, functional kitchen with composite worktop and warm wood, lots of drawers, and double fridge. Cooking while enjoying what's going on outside is de-stressing squared, and if you open all the sliding windows, you draw the outside in even more.

Also on the ground floor: master bedroom with hotel allure. Air conditioning, sunscreens/wing windows and dressing room. Master bathroom with shower, double washbasin, bathtub, original mural and playful jungle touch. On the first floor three more lovely bedrooms (one now office), separate toilet and second bathroom.

Solar panels, heat pump, double glazing, EPC A - to get through the coming decades carefree.

'This is a very nice residential area, with a park nearby and only a ten-minute walk to the heart of Edegem.'
The owners,

owner speaks out

'We lived in Zandvliet, in the north of Antwerp, for 25 years. When the children left home, we thought it was time for something different: a rooftop flat in the city centre. Only ... we couldn't get used to the hustle and bustle and longed for a place with more greenery. Being from Mortsel and Edegem ourselves, for nostalgic reasons we chose to build this house in Edegem, in this very nice neighbourhood, with a park nearby and only a ten-minute walk to the heart of Edegem. Even by car, you are usually quickly and smoothly where you need to be.

The cosy house and sunny garden are great, and the plunge pool guarantees hours of water fun with the grandchildren, especially when we do a barbecue with the whole family.

Our initial plan was to grow old here. That's really how we built the house: future-proof and energy-efficient. But because our children and grandchildren still all live in the north of Antwerp, we decided to move back closer to them, so we can see each other again on a more regular basis. After all, family remains the most important thing.'
