Description

In one of the most charming streets of Brasschaat, at walking distance from the centre, close to schools, public transport, restaurants and yet surrounded by greenery - this villa with high Pippi Longstocking content has a wonderful location.

Anyone dreaming of a stunning house with possibilities may have found his match: spacious basement (formerly a dentist's practice) can be converted into an office, co-living or practice, plenty of authentic elements and, as an eye-catcher, the beautifully landscaped, mature garden with pond and even a romantic little bridge.

Your entrance here is like the rest of this beautiful home: with lots of grandeur!  The hallway divides the house on the ground floor. On the one hand, you have two successive, super atmospheric sitting rooms on the left, followed by the idyllic garden room, under the imposing weeping beech tree. This is the place where you want to nestle yourself in spring with a good book in the first rays of the spring sun. On the other hand, to the right of the hallway, the dining room with modern, open-plan kitchen and access to the terrace. On the authentic ‘porch’ you automatically dream away to the days of yore.

Upstairs are 5 cosy bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The basement is accessed via a staircase in the hallway or a separate door. Co-living, liberal profession, practice, office... Everything is possible here. You can also use the atelier of 48 m2 at the back of the garden, next to the garages.

The villa has super potential, provided the necessary renovations are made. With the advantage that you can then upgrade the house to your own taste and wishes.

owner speaks out

'We love the large, sunlit spaces of Villa Oldenburg. Also, the mix of beautiful, authentic elements and modern touches makes it lovely to stay here. In the two beautiful verandas we have already experienced many blissful moments, just like in the large park garden, with a cathedral of a weeping beech, ponds, bridges and wild bits of pure nature, bordered by hedges... Sometimes we have to pinch ourselves when we walk around our garden - it remains impressive! In the studio, at the back of the garden, you automatically become inspired by all that beauty. At the monumental bluestone staircase leading to the garden and terrace, we automatically unwind after a day's work. This whole setting feels like a hidden, green oasis, when in reality you live close to the bustling village centre. So for almost forty years, this was a cosy, warm home for our family. Now that the children have left home and we are discontinuing the dental practice, the time has come for another custom-made house. We hope to pass this unique home on to people who will cherish it and enjoy it to the full.'
